Welcome to Westhaven Trails
The Westhaven Trails homeowner’s association is located in the far southwest side of Madison, Wisconsin. The Westhaven plat is a planned unit development (PUD) that contains unique features including over 17 acres of open space areas and trails. These open space areas, which include playgrounds, and trails are maintained through the payment of assessments by all property owners in the Westhaven Plat. Consisting primarily of single family housing, the plat also contains several multi-family housing units.
Schools serving the area include the Huegel Elementary, Akira Toki Middle, and Memorial High Schools. Westhaven Trails is located close to major transportation arterials, shopping malls, and other retail establishments including grocery, video and drug stores. Within the development is a City park that offers tennis and volleyball courts. Nearby is Elver Park which also contains tennis courts in addition to basketball courts, frisbee golf, baseball and soccer fields.
The Westhaven Plat has covenants designed to protect the character of the neighborhood and preserve the attractiveness of the area as well as preserve property values. Persons interested in moving into the Westhaven Plat should become familiar with these covenants before finalizing a purchase. A copy of the covenants may be downloaded from this site. There are many first and second-time homebuyers in the Westhaven Plat that have resided here for over 25 years. Properties that do go on the market usually are sold in a very short period of time. These factors confirm the belief that Westhaven Trails is an attractive, affordable, and convenient place to call home.
